The Inspector-General of Police, IGP, Ibrahim Idris says President Muhammadu Buhari has ordered him to redouble his efforts towards tackling the killings in Nigeria. The Senator representing Abia South, Enyinnaya Abaribe has warned the opposition parties that the All Progressives Congress (APC) won’t accept defeat in the 2019 presidential election. Abaribe said the APC had grown so “vicious and dangerous” and will find it hard to relinquish power if they lose. The lawmaker stated this while addressing members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) at a rally in Obingwa Local Government Area, during the visit of the state working committee. Super Eagles defender, Kenneth Omeruo, has made it clear he would not leave Chelsea to go on loan again. Omeruo, in an interview with ACL Sports, admitted he was tired of moving from one club to another every transfer window. According to the 24-year-old, he is read to stay or leave Stamford Bridge permanently this summer. Omeruo joined the Blues in January 2012 as a teenager and was loaned out to Dutch Eredivisie side ADO Den Haag immediately. ​The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB), on Tuesday, announced the release of the results of the mop up examination conducted for candidates, who were rescheduled for the UTME on Saturday, May 26. The results can be assessed on JAMB portal –  www.jamb.org.ng.  The Board’s Head of Media, Dr Fabian Benjamin, made the announcement in an interview with sources , in Abuja. The board had recently, conducted a mop up examination for over 12, 000 candidates in some of its centres across the country. This included those whose biometrics could not be captured during the initial period of the UTME in March, those who were yet to see their results and have not been involved in any form of malpractice. Others included those who were unable to print out their e-slip before the earlier examinations and those whose centres were cancelled for suspected malpractices. The results of 1,021 private candidates, out of the 11,307 who sat for the 2018 West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) January/February series, have been withheld due to examination malpractice.
